A red wooden chest with rosemaling decorating the exterior. The chest has iron hinges, a latch, and a small handle. The front of the chest is painted with a Norwegian phrase. The bottom of the chest is inscribed with the year "1837". The front of the box reads, "Beggi ikke ny | datter Grotland [?]".

Gift to the Hustvedt family when they visited home area of Hustvedt ancestors and the Hustvedt farm, Voss Norway.
