A pen knife with a steel blade and a likely walnut handle with two silver pieces for decoration. One silver piece is located near the blade, and the other is at the top. The silver sheath has a chased design, and the back has a belt loop. The attached label reads, "Den kniv vundet som premie af Krestian Johaneson Braaten af Kong Karl aart 1871 paa Gardemoe'n Krestiania Norge" ("The knife won as a prize by Krestian Johaneson Braaten by King Karl in 1871 at Gardemoe'n Krestiania Norway [?]").

"Pen knife with silver sheath, overall dimensions 7 1⁄4" W x 5 3⁄4" L. The knife without the sheath
is 5 3⁄4" L. The knife blade is made of steel, the handle is probably walnut and there are two silver pieces decorating the handle: a band near the blade and a silver top. The silver sheath is decorated with a chased design and the back has a belt loop. Label: Den kniv vundet som premie af Krestian Johaneson Braaten af Kong Karl aart 1871 paa Gardemoe'n Krestiania Norge (trans: This knife won a prize for Krestian Johaneson Braaten that was awarded by King Karl in the year 1871 at Gardemoen Christiania·· now Oslo== Norway).
