This watch fob was from the estate of Ella Rølvaag Tweet, a 1932 graduate of Saint Olaf College and daughter of Ole Edvart Rølvaag. Solveig Zempel, daughter of Ella Tweet and a 1969 graduate and College faculty member, donated this watch fob and other materials. The items may have belonged to Ole Edvart Rølvaag, a 1905 graduate and faculty member at Saint Olaf College. He was also an author known for his novel "Giants in the Earth." Watch fob chains were chains used to carry a fob. Fobs were typically pocket watches but could also be decorative items.
