"Two armbands (from Carleton students) worn during rally on February 14, 1980 when Vice President Walter F. Mondale visited St. Olaf campus to swear in Dr. Sidney A. Rand as Ambassador to Norway. About 150 Carleton students marched to the St. Olaf campus and joined a group (about 100?) St. Olaf students in protesting the possible renewal of registration for the draft.
