Three blue cloth armbands with cloth, red hearts stapled in the middle. The armbands are different sizes and slightly different shades of blue. The fabric is very thin, and the ends are roughly torn.

"Two armbands (from Carleton students) worn during rally on February 14, 1980 when Vice President Walter F. Mondale visited St. Olaf campus to swear in Dr. Sidney A. Rand as Ambassador to Norway. About 150 Carleton students marched to the St. Olaf campus and joined a group (about 100?) St. Olaf students in protesting the possible renewal of registration for the draft. The(y) demonstrated outside the east door of the Chapel and the Center (main door)." -Memo from St. Olaf College on February 15, 1980.
