Two nurses' hats, pin, and navy cape with gold collars and red linings. Beneath an interior pocket of the cape are the initials "M J A". The label reads, "PRE-SHRUNK WATER-PROOFED QUALITY CAPES ROSALIA BRAND J.A. & R.E. SOLMES ST. PAUL MINN." The white hats have gold buttons engraved with "14 K GOLD FILLED ONE PIECE" and "THE APEX ONE PIECE". The pin consists of three components: a pin in the shape of a lamp, a diamond-shaped pin with "FAIRVIEW HOSPITAL SCHOOL OF NURSING" surrounding a cross, and a small chain connecting the two pins. Some discoloration is visible on the hats.

This nurse's cape, hats, and pin belonged to Margaret Ackerman Lee, a 1943 Fairview School of Nursing graduate. During World War II, Margaret joined the American Red Cross to serve in the Cadet Nurse Corps. Her daughter, Bobbie Roberta Lee, donated the items received from the Saint Olaf College Nursing Department in 2005.
