Varnished wooden spectacles case with a silver hinge and ornate scroll carvings on the front and leaf-like carvings on the side and back. Small impressed text can be seen inside the case in two areas, reading, "O. MOEKE [?]". Some oxidation is visible on the metal hinge, and the wood exhibits minor marks.

A note with the item reads, "February 9, 1940 | The accompanying "brilehus" was sent by J.W. Nelson of Kremlin, Montana | which came from Drammens Opland which has been in his possession 55 | years." "Drammens Opland" may refer to the city of Drammen in Norway.
