This medal was likely acquired during the St. Olaf Band's west coast tour in 1909, where they performed at the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition, a world fair held in Seattle, Washington. The medal features W.H. Seward, a United States Secretary of State who was part of the acquisition of Alaska in 1867.
