A small black hinged screen with six panels, titled "Chinese Symphonic Picture Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival", depicting a painting of the Pien Jing suburbs during the Huizong period on both sides. The screen is possibly made of wood and decorated with paint and enamel.

This item was donated along with other objects from the President's house by Saint Olaf College Facilities.

One side of one of the six panels has Chinese and English text that reads, "Chinese Symphonic Picture Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival records, with exquisite traditional Chinese realistic painting, the architecture and people's livelihood of the suburbs around the capital, Pien Jing (today's Kaifeng) and both sides of the bank of Bian River during Huizong period of the late North Song Dynasty. It describes the prosperity and natural scenes at Qingming Festival, and some profiles of the social life during this period are spotlighted in this picture. Whether in painting artistic value or historical value, Chinese Symphonic Picture Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, an immortal masterpiece, may be rated as a National Treasure."
